Letters from Volunteers
Here's what our Volunteers have to say about Color A Smile.
“…Our Student Leadership Team has organized a school-wide Color A Smile Service Project. All students in grades pre-kindergarten through eighth participated in the program. The student leaders learned valuable organizational and leadership skills. All of the students learned they are capable of giving back to others. Thank you for a great program for our youth.
“…I just want to tell you all how much I enjoyed coloring with my 2 children. This brought us together as a family and we are thrilled to know the drawings will be going to people in need of a smile.”
“…I have completed 7 drawings. I am glad that even kids like me are able to do something to help others even in the smallest way. Anywhere my drawings end up, I hope they bring a smile to someone.”
“…We are pleased to provide Color A Smile with the enclosed drawings recently completed by members of the freshman class at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. Our freshman participate in a variety of community service projects at the start of each academic year. Such opportunities are invaluable for developing camaraderie with peers as well as for promoting a greater understanding of the value of helping others.”
“…Please accept these drawings from our special needs students. The kids love creating these pictures and understand that they will be going to senior citizens and troops overseas. This program is a great way for all of us to give joy to others.”
“... I used your coloring project with a group of children at a woman’s shelter. They loved the idea of making a difference in the lives of others. When I explained where their pictures would be going, they were over the moon excited. Thank you for bringing smiling faces to both ends of this process.”
